let  three consecutive even integers be x , x+2 , x+ 4

greatest = x+4  , least = x

  3 times greatest = 2 times least + 38

3(x+4) = 2x + 38

3x + 12 = 2x + 38  

3x - 2x = 38 - 12  , collect like terms

x = 26

integers are  26 , 26+2  , 26+4

  26 , 28 , 30

check 

 3 times greatest = 2 times least + 38

3(30) = 2(26)+38

90 = 52+38

90 = 90  , true
