Section 1
Project outline
The project in this case relates to the building of 100 beds for hospitals in Michigan. Stryker
will be an organization that will be involved in the making of the beds. The idea for this project
came about in the need to analyze and address vulnerabilities in the health sector. After the
completion of this project by the company, hospitals will be in a position to evade the various risks
of losses through risk transfer as the safety for the patients will be promoted. For Stryker, the
company that will be involved in building the beds will enjoy an increase in the market niche
which will, in turn, translate into profitability through the sales revenue that will be generated.
Additionally, this will also be a way in which the organization will be marketing itself since the
workers will show the level of their expertise, strengths, and opportunities.
Organizational structure
The organizational structure for the company as provided in PMBOK resembles the
functional organization structure. The structure clearly outlines the various personnel involved
categorized in their various units under a supervisor or manager all of which ensures the
coordination of the project’s operations.
From the organizational structure, the Chief Executive is the topmost head of all the other
