A golf ball was struck at an angle of 40 degrees with a horizontal displacement of 300 meters. What is the initial velocity?

Range equation 

R= V0 ^2 × Sin(2thetha) / g

Given angle is 40 degrees 

And  distance 300 metres . 

300 = V0^2 x Sin(2thetha) / 2g 

300 = V0^2 × Sin(2×40) / (2×9.81) 

V0^2 = 5976.80 

V0 = SQRT 5976.80

V0=77.30 metres/sec .
