The educational purpose of the portfolio:
This portfolio aims to evaluate coursework quality and the academic progress for the student
in the writing class. It will also serve as a determinant of whether the student has met the laid
out learning standards for a grade six student. The determination of this will happen by
looking at the student's evolution in their writing proficiency over time from the records
evident in the portfolio. It will also allow the student to reflect on academic goals and progress
throughout the entirety of the course (Mhlauli & Kgosidialwa, 2016).
