Yankee Candle Company is the name used to fondly refer to the American company that
manufactures and retails all types of scented products. The products range from candles, candle
holders, dinnerware implements and other accessories. The company has its presence in about 50
countries globally in addition to the several gift shops and online catalogues with which it
operates locally. With headquarters in Massachusetts, the company operates in 46 states of the
United States, serving a figure larger than 580 stores in major malls.
Yankee candles are a business to consumer business product. This is because it is a large
company with global outlets. Its scale of operation dictates that Yankee candles hire product
managers to do the marketing research from all the markets in which they operate. Marketing
research in a B2C environment, typical of Yankee candles helps analyses the demand forces. It is
the demand factors that support the company's oversee development of products on demand.
Much of their products are sold directly to the consumers through the many online platforms.
Yankee candles got owned by Michael Kettridge who died at 67 years of age. He started
the company back in the years with the help of high school schoolmates Donald MacIver and
