Forest conservation
Forest provides natural services to humans and all other species that are important for
life. If the forests are destroyed the environment goes to imbalance. Research indicates that
humans fight each other in countries that don't conserve environment. Besides, the environment
ends up becoming inhabitable due to lack of rains. Therefore, it is utterly important to conserve
forests. Forest conservation techniques include watershed management; fire prevention and
control; recreation and wildlife and insect and disease control.
Watershed management
Watershed management is a comprehensive planning process that aim at balancing
watershed and social conditions. Water is crucial for growth of forests; therefore watershed
management leads to improved water quality for forested land. Poor watershed management
affects the quantity and the quality of water on forests. Research shows that watershed
management outweighs recreations value in mountainous territories (8888). More so, many
tourists like climbing mountainous forests. Meaning a country that manages watershed and
controls soil erosion will likely see economic value improvement. Researchers claim that proper
watershed management offers tactics that regulates the flow of water during the hydrogen cycle
(Gomontean, B., Gajaseni, Edwards-Jones & Gajaseni, 2008).
Consequently, the amount of water that is stored in the soil depends on how people
conserve forest. Canopy interceptions, for examples, determine whether water will flow in the
land or will infiltrate in...
