Organizational Culture

Organizational culture is an important part in any organization. Organizational culture
refers to how employees relate and communicate with each other at the workplace. This also
refers to the way employees relate with management. When an employee joins an organization,
there are certain expectations that are required of them, without a proper organizational culture,
employees would have a difficult time, determining what to do and how to do it. Hence, it is the
responsibility of management to ensure that from the recruiting process to maintain long term
employees that they foster a supportive work environment. This process should start at the
recruiting stage. An organization should ensure that the employees they recruit are aware of the
organization’s goals, beliefs, mission and vision. This will ensure that the employees that any
organization gains are aware of what is needed of them when it comes to performing their tasks
and delivering results. However, the organization should also show support to its employees
through trading, learning and development as well as communication and ensuring they foster
workplace diversity.
Training of employees is an effective way to show employees support and to foster the
workplace environment. This in turn makes employees feel like the management cares about
both their personal as well as professional development. Additionally, employee training
improves the organization culture in a tremendous manner as employees will know what the
management needs from them. This will in turn enable employees to perform their jobs as
required and successfully, because they have already gained the skills that they need through
training. Due to the changes in technology, most organizations have to invest on IT learning and
resources. this will improve the success of IT projects, because employees have already gone
through several training programs and are aware of what is needed of them by management.
