Ms. Heumann lived in shame due to her disability but later conquered that through learning how to accept her disability as part of life. She constantly fought for the rights of other disabled people in the society, causing her to get an opportunity to teach in the school where she was denied access in her second grade. Reply Here > I agree with you that it is unfortunate that Judy Heumann was denied an opportunity to school as normal students would. She was discriminated against due to her disability and only given two and a half hours of homeschooling. It is crucial to raise awareness and fight against discrimination to ensure that people with disabilities are given equal chances. TED Talk 2 - When We Design for Disability, We All Benefit Reply Here > I agree with you that it is important to design assistive technology that helps people with disabilities overcome obstacles in their lives. Designing for disability empowers people living with disabilities to achieve great milestones in their life. Elise Roy encourages students to be design thinkers in order to improve their overall quality of life. TED Talk 3 - What Reading Slowly Taught Me Reply Here > I agree with you that we need to adjust our education system and focus on ensuring that students are not only taught to learn and answer promptly. Instead, students should be taught how to take their time to understand the author's main message, comprehensively. Reply Here > I agree with you that it is important to share knowledge among ourselves to influence our learning skills. Children should also be taught the importance of reading to understand rather than reading to complete a book. TED Talk 4 - Overcoming Dyslexia Finding Passion Reply Here> I agree with you that a student's inability to retain information efficiently should not be interpreted as a lack of intelligence or laziness. Thus, educators should embrace students with dyslexia and help them using assistive technology tools and multisensory learning approaches. Reply Here> I agree with you that most teachers should understand the difficulties faced by dyslexic students. For this reason, educators should incorporate different methods that assist students in adjusting to the classroom environment. Reply Here> I agree with you that students with disabilities should be assisted in learning how to read, spelling, and proper use of grammar. Dyslexic students should also be allowed to develop cognitive function by listening to music and reading books. TED Talk 5 - Why I Live in Mortal Fear of Public Speaking Reply Here > I agree with you that the story of how Megan Washington overcame her speech impediment through singing and songwriting is so inspiring. She was able to express her ideas through singing rather than speaking and that made a positive impact in her life.

Edutopia 1 - Making Sure Every Child is Known

Reply here > I agree with you that making students feel valued enables them to build a healthy
identity and improve their confidence. Making sure that every child is known by name assures
them of the love and unconditional support. It is also important for teachers to enquire about
students' preferences to foster genuine connections. Students with a sense of belonging feel
appreciated and welcomed in the classroom.

Reply here > I agree with you that teachers should serve as role models and should embody
compassion towards their students. Teachers should not bully students as this results in
humiliation, fear, emotional stress, and poor performance. Teachers should also not punish or
manipulate students without a realistic disciplinary process. Every child has a right to be treated
with respect and dignity.
Edutopia 2 - Tech Fueled Differentiated Instruction Helps All Elementary Students

Reply Here> I agree with you that it is essential to integrate technology in elementary schools to
enable each student to have more personalized and active participation in learning. Incorporating
technology gives students a different experience as compared to the typical lecture environment.

Teachers also get an opportunity to understand their students' needs, strengths, and areas of
improvement.

Reply Here> I agree with you that the government should regularly replenish funds to sustain
schools' operating costs. Technology allows students to have fun and meaningful experiences as
they learn important life skills and embrace teamwork. Also, learning through technology gives
teachers a personalized experience with each student.
