The whole process of reaching the target market of a business firm requires smooth, and
efficient communication, often through writing. Writing styles in commerce, or marketing have
numerous characteristics that enhance the quality of written documents (Taylor, 2009). Good
business communication must be natural, and realistic. It should express ideas in simple forms
without promoting superfluous, and potentially irrelevant ideas. The writing style should
represent ideas, and concepts in a clear manner that dispels any ambiguity, and potential
confusion. The styles should be directed at the audiences, and their interests. This paper
examines the qualities of a good writing style in business and proceeds to give a guideline for
how revisions can be done to facilitate proper writing.
First, a good business writing style uses clear language. The language used must be
tailored to appeal to the audience. This means that the text must be comprised of short, and
