Introduction
Engstrom Auto Mirror Plant is a private entity in Richmond, Indiana that has
encountered several organizational problems throughout its lifetime. According to Beer and
Collins (2008), there are several negative organizational concerns illustrated amid a downturn
in industry and organization in the seventh quarter of the plant's deficit. The organizational
issues include the absence of an incentive plan, the lack of trust among managers, poor
productivity, a low level of morale among the employees, and a lack of engagement with
employees. Engstrom Auto Mirror Plant introduced a year earlier incentive package to pay
employees higher incentives for their increased productivity. Whenever the plant meets its
goal ratio, the company pays all its workers' bonus checks. The goal was to solve the
productivity problem of the plant. It is undeniable that most businesses, from small to big
have faced these challenges. It is how those problems are exposed and how they are dealt
with that will make or break a business. The direction of this case study analysis will focus on
