Anjum, Ming, Siddiqi and Rasool carried out a study with an aim of analyzing how toxic
work environments affect job productivity. The purpose of this study was to determine the
relationship between the negative job productivity of an employee and the toxic work
environment. The study researchers selected seven private Pakistan universities in Lahore city
through a systematic sampling technique with employees being the unit of analysis in this study.
The researchers distributed questionnaires randomly among the employees and out of the 300
questionnaires they administered, 267 questionnaires were responded to. To get a meaningful
information, the researchers verified both direct and indirect variables through CFA which they
had tested through AMOS 22 (Anjum, 2005). For verification of meditation of job burnout
between job productivity and workplaces with toxic environments, descriptive Hayes mediation
approach and SPSS were used respectively.
