Apple Inc. is a global American company that deals in computer software, mobile
phones, PCs as well as other consumer electronic products. The products that it is known for are
iPod, iPhone, Macintosh computers and iPad. It operated 301 stores in 10 countries as at August
2010 (Ali, Alam & Shabbir, 2015). Its software products comprise of Mac OS X operating
system, iWork suite of software for productivity, Final Cut Studio, Logic Studio, iOS for mobile
operation systems, iTunes browser for media, the iLife suite of multimedia along with creativity
software called Aperture which is meant for professional photography. Other products include
Airplay, Airport among others.
The company was incorporated on 1st April 1976 after being co-founded by Steve Jobs
and Steve Wozniak in California. During its first 30 years in operation, it was known as Apple
Computer Inc. Later on, in January 2007 they rebranded to Apple Inc. They came up with Apple
I computer in 1976, a product which failed (Ali et al., 2015). However, they then launched Apple
II which became a success. It also introduced IPO in 1980.

and 7% for iPad and Mac respectively. The numbers that were witnessed in quarter two the year
2012 were lower than the previous quarter one in the same year.

There exist a variety of problems that the company may not just bring itself to control

operations of Apple Inc. in the whole world. Therefore, to have its cost of operation reduced, the
