Polo shirts have their origin from the Tennis players won in the 19th and 20th centuries. A French tennis champion felt the earlier fashion of tennis wear, white-long sleeved shirt uncomfortable and cumbersome. Polo shirts were designed in 1926 to suit the tennis environment. They were/are characterized by short sleeved, three or two buttons and a collar and are loosely knit. They flocked the market in the late 1920s, especially the tennis champions, then fans and later the larger market chipped in.
