Part A: Shot-by-shot analysis
The film Raging bull has managed to implement a different number of shot formats,
and this has enhanced the visibility of this film. The wide shot has been used in the film and
especially so in the boxing scenes. In La Motta’s scene when he is in the corner between the
rounds, the wide shot has been used, and it manages to show La Motta in his full
environment, therefore giving an accurate description of the particular setting as well as the
attitude of the crowd at this specific time (Hayes, 2005).
