Project Initiating Assignment C Description Now that you have identified project to pursue (usally the highest score from the weighted scoring analysis from the previous assignment, but not always), the next step is provide justification for taking on this project. To provide this justification, you will create aBusiness Case for your project. There are different formats that you can use, however, I encourage you to use the template from our textbook. Whichever format you choose, you can follow these seven steps to develop the information you'll provide in the Business Case for the project you're proposing.        Step 1: Define the opportunity. Describe the situation and the business objectives that your proposal will affect. Step 2: Identify the alternatives. Brainstorm multiple approaches and then choose three to four to analyze. Step 3: Gather data and estimate time frame. Obtain information about each alternative and estimate how long each option will take to implement. Step 4: Analyze the alternatives. Analyze how your options will affect the business objectives you've defined. Step 5: Make a choice and assess the risk. Make a recommendation based on your analyses, and consider how you will mitigate any risks associated with your recommendation. Step 6: Create a plan for implementing your idea. Identify, at a high level, how you will achieve your goals and who will be accountable for each milestone. Spell out when you expect to see benefits. Step 7: Communicate your case. Create a document to sell your recommendation to decision makers. Ultimately, you have completed steps 2 and 4, and made a choice (part of step 5) that has resulted in you choosing a project from your analysis in the weighted scoring analysis. If you haven't already, perform the other steps identified above to create the information you'll need as you complete Step 7. For Step 7, use the following suggested template Deliverables  This deliverable should contain: a. A opening paragraph telling what the document contains, b. Your Business Case should contain the following contents:            Introduction/Background Business objective Current Situation Critical Assumptions and Constraints Analysis of Options and Recommendations Preliminary Project Requirements Budget Estimate and Financial Analysis Schedule Estimate Potential Risks Exhibits Upload your Business Case into the Assignment 3 dropbox. Note: The grade for this assignment is based on both content and professional appearance (title page, table of content, headings, format) of the submitted document.
