The Constitution
** DUE BY 10 PM EST*** 700 WORDS BLUEBOOK FORMAT-(SEE ATTACHMENTS) The Constitution is the framework for the organization of the United States government and for the relationship of the federal government with the States, citizens, and all people within the United States. The Constitution has been amended twenty-seven times, the last occurring in 1992. To assist in better understanding the Constitution, please answer the following question: Of the twenty-seven Constitutional amendments, which one is most important? Why? There is obviously no wrong answer, so your analysis in support of the amendment you choose is key. (Note: Here are two arguments from a previous term that I did not find overly persuasive - the first amendment, because it is number one, and, the twenty-first amendment, because it brought alcohol back to college campuses). Why is this forum so important? Sadly, a high percentage of Americans do not know basic information about the Constitution. Here are some examples: "What is the supreme law of the land?" Seventy-percent of the 1,000 citizens polled by Newsweek could not answer the “Constitution.” Sixty-one percent didn't know that the length of a U.S. senator's term is six years, 63 percent couldn't name the number of Supreme Court justices on the bench (nine), and 86 percent didn't know that 435 members fill the U.S. House of Representatives. And finally, fifty percent could not name an amendment to the Constitution, and twenty percent said the Constitution has never been amended.

Walden University Week 2 Workplace Diversity Inclusion in The Workplace Discussion
Consider what diversity means to you, and what it might mean to work in a diverse organization. Have you ever been in a group of friends, classmates, or colleagues who all shared different views, came from different backgrounds, and had a wealth of different personal experiences? How did being part of that group compare to interacting within a group with similar thoughts, experiences, and upbringings as yours? Diversity strengthens the bonds between people and increases their capacity (individually and collectively) to grow and achieve. The global landscape is always changing and becoming more dynamic each day. Creating a work environment that is filled with people from different cultures or backgrounds and who have diverse ideas, thoughts, and experiences can bring forward new ideas, new ways of doing things, and new opportunities for greater success. A diverse environment can also bring new obstacles that must be overcome. In this Discussion, you will examine a real company and how it approaches diversity. You will explore with your colleagues the benefits and challenges of a diverse and inclusive organization. To prepare for this Discussion:Conduct some research to determine which employers are among the best places to work from a diversity perspective. New lists of the top companies are produced annually by sources such as the DiversityInc website and Black Enterprise, Forbes, and Fortunemagazines, to name a few.Consider the various ways in which an organization can be diverse. Post a 150- to 225-word (2- to 3-paragraph) analysis of the benefits to an organization of having HR policies and practices related to diversity and inclusion. In your analysis, include the following:How do diversity and inclusion benefit organizations (including the people who are part of them)? Provide at least one specific, real-world example from your research. What are two to three specific examples of diversity initiatives you located from your research? For each example, focus on a different aspect of diversity. If you were an HR leader at your own workplace (or some company with which you are familiar), what recommendations would you make to help the organization improve its diversity and/or inclusion efforts? To support your response, be sure to reference at least one properly cited scholarly

Troy University Arthur Anderson LLP Accounting Ethics Discussion
Part 1Arthur Andersen LLP was the auditor for Enron, WorldCom, Waste Management and other companies that committed fraud. Andersen was forced to shut its doors forever after a U.S. Department of Justice lawsuit against the firm charged that it had obstructed justice and lied to the government in the Enron case. One thing Andersen had done was to shred documents related to its audit of Enron before the government could get its hands on them. Some in the profession thought the government had gone too far given the facts and mediating circumstances including top management’s deception; others believed the punishment was unjustified because most accounting firms got caught up in similar situations during the late 1990s and early 2000s (pre-Sarbanes-Oxley). What do you believe? Use ethical reasoning to support your answer. Incorporate concepts from this week’s lecture in your post. Your main post should be at least 250 words in length. Respond to at least two of your classmates’ posts.Part 2Interpretation 102-4 of the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct that was discussed in Chapter 1 provides that a CPA should not knowingly misrepresent facts or subordinate her judgment when performing professional services. Explain how Rest’s model of moral development influences the steps a CPA should take to avoid subordinating professional judgment.Incorporate concepts from this week’s lecture in your post.
