exploit these hinderances and utilize them to grow. A growth mindset entails viewing impediments
as catapults to success and using them to enhance one’s basic abilities. Individuals with a fixed
mindset usually believe that their primary attributes like their talents or intelligence cannot be
altered, and that they are fixed traits. A person is never naturally good at something, they have to
practice. A growth mindset requires practice and resilience. The book is important because human
beliefs, whether conscious or subconscious, possess great power, and they influence one’s
predisposition to success. Embracing a growth mindset and emphasizing learning helps to realize
one’s potential.
