How can I find the exact mass of an unknown object under 1 kg. using an experiment. I know no information about the object and must set up the experiment before I receive the object to measure.
Put the object in a graduated beaker/ test tube half filled with water. Note the increase in the level of the water. For every milliliter rise in water level, the object weighs that many grams.
Example : beaker contains 500 ml of water
object is placed water level rises to 712 ml
increase in water level = 712-500=212 ml
mass of object = 212g
