Personal reflection
This document is an accurate representation of what the leaders of ancient times could do
in the quest to gain power and control over territory. Some battles are fought in which only the
strongest person will thrive to rule over. There are sacrifices to be made in each case, and all
tactics have to be employed. Despite this, there is the inclusion of religion in the document that
presents a new type of war that is fought. This war was called the holy war and is being waged
from different sources with the common interest. What they believe in this religion is seen to be
strong, and the party which is an excellent affiliate of God is seen to win which could be an

to commemorate the person who won the battle even after death. For instance, there is linking of
the table at Toledo with the table referred to in the Bible. Respect to the master is also seen as an
important icon in success. There is always a turning point for everything this is a lesson that can
be learned from the document. After spending the time plundering other people's economies,
Tarik is forced to surrender all that for a price which makes him see them as worth giving out.
