What is the trigonometric ratio for cot0 ?

An airplane is flying 10,000 feet above the ground at an angle of depression of 15°. How far must the plane fly in order to land? Round your answer to the nearest foot.

A ladder is leaning up against a 10-foot wall at an angle of elevation of 65°. How long is the ladder? Round your answer to the nearest tenth of a foot

1. Cotangent is the inverse of tangent meaning that it is 1/Tan

2. I seen that someone has already answered this question for you.

3. Based on the triangle that I have set up for this equation, we have to set up the following equation sine(65 degrees) = 10/X since sine = opposite/hypotenuse

Then we cross multiply to get sine(65)(X) = 10

Sine(65) = 0.906307787033

Solving for X we get X = 11.0ft
