There are several attributes that a pre-registration pharmacist should have.
Given that the career calls for interaction with people especially patients, one needs to
have characteristics that conform to the career requirements. To become successful, one
needs to go through the required training that pertains to the pharmacy. The attainment
of the training does not suffice to become an all-round professional since one needs to
have the inherent characteristics that create a good breeding ground for the pharmacy
concepts. In this era of ever-changing social and economic transformations, it is ideal
for a pharmacist to understand the positive transitions that will help in coping with the
complexity of the career. The attributes are supposed to be an addition to the basic
training. In this regard, it calls for one to be patient, honest, team player, principled,
open-minded, independent and courageous.
