Rising global insecurity amid global political differences amongst other conflicts has
become a worrying concern for not only the developed countries but also the low and middleclass economies. As world power continues to devise new means to pin down terrorism, so has
these antagonists’ devised new strategies to carry out their plans. Nuclear terrorism is one such
practice that has gained importance in recent times whereby terrorists use nuclear weapons and
other radioactive materials to cause harm to their targets (Helfand et al., 2002). In as much as
experts have indicated that a majority of terrorist groups have not yet had access to nuclear
