Please describe how you have prepared for your intended major, including your readiness to succeed in your upper-division courses once you enroll at the university. Most people spend their summer vacationing in the sun. Lying on the beach and absorbing the sun’s bright rays. But, an ideal summer day for me involves sitting in a library, and absorbing the bountiful mechanics blockchain technology instead. Passion and personal drive to further my own education granted me the incredible opportunity to work as an intern for Lino, a well-known blockchain project. At Lino, I applied the knowledge I had gained into real world applications. My first task was to collect data from Lino users and figure out how users spend their tokens on the blockchain network. I excelled at this task, and was promoted to a more difficult project where I researched the amount of Lino tokens spent and implemented campaigns to incentivize buyers who contribute to the ecosystem. 2. Describe an example of your leadership experience in which you have positively influenced others, helped resolve disputes, or contributed to group efforts over time. (No more than 350 words) (Things to consider: A leadership role can mean more than just a title. It can mean being a mentor to others, acting as the person in charge of a specific task, or taking the lead role in organizing an event or project. Think about your accomplishments and what you learned from the experience. What were your responsibilities? Did you lead a team? How did your experience change your perspective on leading others? Did you help to resolve an important dispute at your school, church in your community or an organization? And your leadership role doesn’t necessarily have to be limited to school activities. For example, do you help out or take care of your family?) “Garbage is polluting Half Moon Bay. Local wildlife is dying, the environment is suffering.” My stomach dropped while reading this email. A terrible injustice to the environment was being committed, and no one cared enough to do anything. But, my family always told me, it only takes one person to make a difference. Without wasting a minute, I called and messaged my friends about the opportunity. Unfortunately, I was met with complaints about how “ineffective” and “pointless” our efforts would be. Despite this, I persisted. True leaders pursue their visions and passion even when the world was against them, and through inspiration turn disbelievers into advocates for their cause. So I appealed to my friends’ emotional and logical sides, and painted a picture of clean beach with an endless sea we could spend nights frolicking at. This was enough to convince a few of them to join me, and after sharing pictures of all the fun our group was having cleaning up the bay, they all decided to help out. (Now write about how this changed your perspective on leading others) 3. Every person has a creative side, and it can be expressed in many ways: problemsolving, original and innovative thinking, and artistically, to name a few. Describe how you express your creative side. (No more than 350 words) (Things to consider: If there’s a talent or skill that you’re proud of, this is the time to share it. You don’t necessarily have to be recognized or have received awards for your talent (although if you did and you want to talk about, feel free to do so). Why is this talent or skill meaningful to you? Does the talent come naturally or have you worked hard to develop this skill or talent? Does your talent or skill allow you opportunities in or outside the classroom? If so, what are they and how do they fit into your schedule?) original and innovative thinking: I was finishing my second-year university in China, everyone around me start to look for a job and explain how they only want to get a high-paying job. They all only conserve themselves, which is conflict my personal philosophy. I have similar thoughts with President Kennedy, “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." Don’t ask for a high-paying salary, but ask what you can contribute, the money will come. I learned that from my economics101 class “Value Creation.” With this economics theory, I decide to change and summarized the change into three criteria People are the key. Those who want to bring impact to the world are those who really impact the world, look for this group. Also, Make sure I am in the trend. History will not go backward. Lastly, execution will be the key to everyone who finally made the change. with these three criteria, I decided to come to Silicon Valley because it has the people who care what they can create for the society; and whatever created in the Valley is the most advanced, all over the world will follow them. Therefore, I delivered my drop out of an application and start my application for school in Silicon Valley. Finally, I picked De Anza College as a start because that’s who Apple’s co-founder Steve Worz started. During my execution of quitting from my previous university, there are many challenges and disagreements. It became a battle at the beginning, the school finds some ways to stop me doing that, my parents start threatening me not giving me a single dim, etc. In the end, I convinced my elder brother who is known in Fintech Industry to help me and gave a speech at the University about the highpaying job now in Silicon Valley. The school, at last, realized this well-known high-tech location, and allow me to drop out. And I told my parents about my future plan and let them know I plan it with my elder brother. Finally, I made that happen to study in Silicon Valley and have a group of people who think alike. 4. What would you say is your greatest talent or skill? How have you developed and demonstrated that talent over time? (No more than 350 words) ( Things to consider: If there’s a talent or skill that you’re proud of, this is the time to share it. My greatest talent is to bridge dogs with human beings and get healed. When I was young, I was always alone at home. I was scared alone until my parents send me to my uncle’s house. He raised many animals, 3 dogs, and 10 chickens and 2 rabbits. I got a chance to communicate with them, and dogs will be always with me and they become my good companions. Since I communicate with dogs, I start willing to communicate with people and take responsibility. At that time, in China veterinarian is not popular. The older dog is becoming less active and always lay down when he got a chance. My uncle thought it affects disease and wants to throw it on the street. Then I explain it to him with my reading and explain to him the symptoms when the older dog gets old. I am so happy about that, and when I go back the older dog will get excited at the beginning and then lay down near you. Since then I start getting interested in reading and learning anything about dogs. I am an advisor for more than 30 friends for how to raise dogs. When I am in the U.S, I have a good friend who told me he is lack of safety and afraid to go out. He even thinks about ending his life. Once I realize this situation, I bought him to the breeder to find a lively and obedient Corgi to make his character up. I went to his house every day to teach him to build a connection with his dog and to understand his dog’s behavior. Most importantly, I keep conveying a message that you and your dog is a good friend and you should be the pack leader. When a dog starts doing irrational behavior, you have to stop and educate the dog. In their relationship, my friend becomes a pack leader, he has more confidence and takes responsibility for his own life. and will meet friends who have dogs at the beginning, and later start not afraid of talking to people. In the dog circle, he starts shooting a video about his dog, Duby. and “Duan Tui Duby” become a popular video show among dog hobbyists which has more than 75 thousand followers. It is my honor to inspire people to have good interaction with their dogs. Extra: Stamp collectors have always fascinated me. Despite being complete strangers, with barriers such as language and culture, their community is able to unanimously agree on a stamp’s value. The stamp community’s unique ecosystem piqued my interest, and drove me to seek other communities that operated similarly. My curiosity led me to the world of business and economics, where the universal language was not English, but that of currency and theory. Invigorated by my discovery, I changed my major from psychology to economics.

1. Please describe how you have prepared for your intended major, including your readiness
to succeed in your upper-division courses once you enroll at the university.
The way we use our cash, work, and how we make decisions affects our economic lives. I have
been spending money on what in demand and viewing news about the economy. Whenever I watch
business news, I wonder who decides the products' price, where the commodities come from, and
why individuals demand them. I have a passion for economics, business trends, market inflation,
and statistics. I have loved how the exchange rates change anytime without notice. I wonder how
leaders from prominent countries' speeches affect the exchange rate of dollars with other countries.
With that passion for country economics, I am qualified for my major by catching all prerequisites
needed for an Economic and Statistics course. The course will help me realize my goals and
dreams. Learning economic concepts have impacted my ability to comprehend the rules of modern
economic and social operations by overturning the vulgar sense and laws (Simonton, 2000).
The evolution of economic theory impacts my life, and I have learned to considered things
from a statistical point of view. Having one optimal probability has helped me understand that
economic laws don't need one to be rational or irrational, depending on the level of prices people
can bear. However, I applied for several internships, which I thought would give me hands-on
experience. I also applied for workshops related to career, investment, data analysis, and
economics, which helped me visit and create influences with many enterprise workers, hire people,
and audit curriculum vitae. The research I have done and systematic approach to economics and
statistics relations have helped me gain critical information, facilitating my preparedness for the
upper-division courses and, more significantly, my course major. So far, I can't regret choosing
the economics and statistics course, and I want to learn deeper about it.

2. Describe an example of your leadership experience in which you have positively
influenced others, helped resolve disputes or contributed to group efforts over time.
Leadership requires more skills that individuals fail to understand because of the
assumption that a leader commands respect. When I was in high school, I was made school
captain as well as soccer captain. My classmates and soccer mates looked at me as a good
example as they expected to be always on the right side. I have engaged in charity affairs over
my church, which avowed me to organize the first endowment fashion show at my high school.
All three leadership roles offered me leadership skills, which I value even today. I was made
in charge of the fashion event. I gathered meeting with participants and came up with cool
bounce costumes that could be culled from the local prudence stocks. The local businessmen
and women donated clothes, shoes, and accessories, which made the event colorful. I delegated
tasks where I gave out the responsibility for marketing and auditorium.
The day of the event came, and we were able to raise USD 600, and my fellow students
wore fashion show styles. The leadership role enabled me to help other people achieve success
in their roles. During my time as the school captain, I interacted with many education leaders
who came to our schools for events. I found myself in general meetings, which involved the
regional education directors, school principal, and other leaders. I was allowed to give my
views and even participate in making crucial decisions associated with improving school
performance. As a leader, I have faced challenges that have improved my confidence
(Herrmann et al., 2014).

I was born in China, and my parents and I moved to the United States of America when I was
just 4years old. The education barrier I faced was language. I only knew to talk Chinese. I learned,
spoke, wrote, and read Chinese. I returned to China during secondary school when my
grandmother got sick and released what an extraordinary life I led. I was mostly involved in
moving around and exploring new places. After three years in China, I returned to the United
States, which sounded that my education would be based on ...
