Dramaturgy is a sociological perspective that is examined on a micro level and analyzes the context of the simple day-to-day interactions in which humans engage in. An example of dramaturgy in a social situation I have witnessed is when a friend of mine had seen a girl he really liked and she did not feel the same way. He became very emotional and hurt while she got angry and annoyed because she did not understand why he felt the way he did.
