IRS Audits Target Wage Earners, Not the Wealthy Article Discussion
Forget Las Vegas and Atlantic City. Do not waste your money on your state's lottery. Get out of the office football pool. There is a better gambling mechanism awaiting you, every April 15! It involves your odds of being audited by the IRS.If you like high-stakes gambling with your own money, and do not mind risking some jail time, playing against the IRS is just the ticket to give you goose bumps and an adrenaline rush. Winning means you get to keep your money—at least for a while; losing means giving the winner your money—plus penalties and interest (not to mention possible time away from family and your employer).Review the gaming odds from the article, "IRS Audits Target Wage Earners, Rather Than Wealthy," which is located on The Tax Prophet Web site. The link to the article and the gaming odds are provided in the Resources section of this discussion. Explain how you would put together a plan that could be enacted into law, to improve the odds of the IRS auditing wealthy taxpayers and corporations.Article:https://www.taxprophet.com/archives/hot_topic/0204.shtml

American Intercontinential University Team Project Management Essay
Assignment Description
You are the regional sales manager for a large pharmaceutical company. Your company is hiring a district sales manager in your region. There are three applicants for this position:
A male, 62 years of age, with 40 years of experience
A female, 47 years of age, with 20 years of experience, who is a paraplegic
A female, 22 years of age, who is a new college graduate
The hiring manager does not want to consider the 62-year-old male because he does not believe he will be able to put forth enough effort at his age. He also does not want to consider the 47-year-old female because he believes her appearance will cause potential customers to not buy their product. He would like to hire the 22-year-old female even though she has no experience because he feels that their clients will be more receptive to her appearance and age.
You are concerned about the process the hiring manager used. The hiring manager's recommendation raises ethical issues and may cause the company legal problems.
Your group has been asked to create an employee development program to deal with this type of issue.
Group Portion
Your group will develop a PowerPoint presentation that presents 2 ideas for an employee development program that accomplishes the following:
Addresses the issue involved in the scenario using an ethical decision-making model
Provides strategies to mitigate the following legal and ethical concerns:
Employment discrimination
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations
Flexible work arrangements
Other ethical or legal concerns
The group portion should be 5–7 slides with speaker notes (excluding the title and reference slides).
Submitting your assignment in APA format means, at a minimum, you will need the following:
Title slide: Remember the running head. The title should be in all capitals.
Length: 5-7 slides with speaker notes (excluding the title and reference slides).
Body slides: This begins on the slide following the title slide and must be double-spaced (be careful not to triple- or quadruple-space between paragraphs). The typeface should be 12-pt. Times Roman or 12-pt. Courier in regular black type. Do not use color, bold type, or italics, except as required for APA-level headings and references. The deliverable length of the body of your presentation for this assignment is 5-7 slides. In-body academic citations to support your decisions and analysis are required. A variety of academic sources is encouraged.
Reference slide: References that align with your in-body academic sources are listed on the final slide of your presentation. The references must be in APA format using appropriate spacing, hanging indent, italics, and uppercase and lowercase usage as appropriate for the type of resource used. Remember, the Reference slide is not a bibliography but a further listing of the abbreviated in-body citations used in the paper. Every referenced item must have a corresponding in-body citation.
Individual Portion
Each group member will write a paper discussing his or her experience working on the group project and how the group went through the stages of team development.
Summarize your experience working on the group portion of the assignment.
Discuss the group interaction through each stage of the team development life cycle: forming, storming, norming, performing, and adjourning.
Evaluate the effectiveness of the group, for example:
Discuss would be to determine whether they would have come up with a more effective solution on their own.
Assess the time it took to come up with the solution from the group compared to coming up with a solution on their own.
