Description

Topic of the paper: To what extent do the experiences of China, India, and Japan economies after World War II support the proposition that government can play an active and positive role in promoting economic growth? To what extent do these experiences refute that proposition?

Long essay questions ask you to pull together and synthesize a number of different issues covered in lectures and in the readings. They put particular emphasis on comparison and contrast between the three countries featured in the lectures, China, India, and Japan. While there is no required lower or upper word limit on an essay, the recommended length to cover the topic in sufficient but not excessive depth would be 1000 to 1300 words.

Rubric for Grading the Long essay. Each essay is worth a maximum of 100 points. It will be graded using the following rubric with each component of the rubric worth a maximum of 25 points.

A. Does the essay stay on topic and directly address the question?

B. Does the essay provide examples and evidence and are these effectively used to support the claims and arguments of the essay?

C. Comparison and contrasts between China, India, and Japan: Are all three countries (or in the case of questions about only two countries, are both mentioned) mentioned? Are comparisons and contrasts between these countries explicitly developed

beyond just considering each country individually?

D. How well organized and convincingly argued is the essay? Is the Flow of argument in the essay easy to follow without major gaps in the discussion?

Since this assignment is a take home essay and not a term paper, I would not recommend extensive use if any of such material that is not in your own words.

THIS IS AN ECONOMIC TASK. Due to that, the paper should be written from this perspective – the professor is less interested about historical conflicts or social ones, he desires the student to understand the economical impact.

Materials: All the materials which need to be used (YOU MUST USE them in your work) will be provided (they are class lectures – most of them are short). In addition you might have to search for some external sources to support your statement.

The paper needs to be written as a NATIVE American student. Due to that, it is NOT accepted any form of grammar errors or incoherent sentences.

of the states involved in the Second World War to solve the rivalry matters and partner to create
commercial unions. Other government states enhanced industrialization that was due to the
nationalism that was implemented after World War II. However, some of the Second World War
experiences have led to the decline in economic growth due to the barriers the set to the
government to improve the economy. Therefore, this essay illustrates the impacts that World
War II caused the government that either promote or decline economic growth in China, Japan,
and India.
The Post-World War II Role of the Government in Japan
There are many experiences in the Second World War that can either enhance or prevent
the government from promoting economic development in the state. Research shows that most of
these experiences led to the government's economic development rather than limiting growth.
