Business is a war that only the strong emerge victoriously. Many companies have failed
due to poor management, embezzlement of funds, and the main one being, the parent companies
pushing new companies off the industry. In the beverage industry, the case has not been any
different. The parent company that has thrived over the years is Coca-Cola Company. The soda
market has faced a lot of competition, with many companies copying the Coca-Cola drink's make
and ingredients. Many have failed, but Pepsi has emerged as one company able to rival CocaCola. Over the years, this competition between the two companies has grown, with both
companies emerging top among their loyal customer's. The battle outcome has eventually shaped
what we buy and how we live. In this paper, we dive deeper into what drives both Coca-Cola and
Pepsi, the inventors, leaders, to the great heights or to the ruins it has reached.
According to the cold war's episode, Coca-Cola was first created by John Palmerton with
the initial recipe involving Coca-Cola. On becoming sick, he sells all the rights and the original
Coca-Cola recipe to Asa Candler. It is Asa Candler who turned the Coca-Cola Company into a
national phenomenon. He gave free coke coupons to individuals and organized soda fountains so
as to increase soda sales. The drink became the souths favorite drink. But as the drink became
more popular, more people claimed the drink was habit-forming due to the cocaine, and the
harmful effects of cocaine were getting more and more popular, including people losing their
