You have gotten to know the (mother or father – whichever is the same gender as you). He/she is approximately 40 years old and was a teacher in his/her country before having to flee due to war. He/she, a spouse, and 2 pre-teen children immigrated after spending 4 years in a refugee center in Greece. They identify themselves as followers of Islam, but ask you what you believe about Jesus. Your response is to tell them God’s story...b. You transferred to a state university at the beginning of the semester and you have been getting to know your new roommate. He/she is a self-proclaimed atheist who likes to debate Christians; is from a single parent family where the father was not in the picture at all; and is very focused on self and accomplishment. After a semester of conversations (and maybe a few animated debates), he/she asks you what all this Jesus talk really means. Your response is to tell God’s story...2. Context: Before you tell God’s Story you need to identify the context.a. Discuss how they would each be important in communicating in this cultural context. This must include citations from class lectures or the Livermore text. b. Cultural Value Orientations: Follow with a discussion of at least 7 of the 10 cultural value orientations and how they must be considered in communication within this context. Please include citations from class lectures or the Livermore text.c. You can also incorporate concepts from class case studies and guest speakers but these do not replace the discussion of the communication elements and cultural value orientations required above, they are to be in addition to these concepts or as examples of these concepts.d. God’s Story: Then you will tell God’s Story. You should make sure to include the 14 key elements of God’s Story that we identified in class. Scripture references need to be in parentheses next to each of the 14 key elements of God’s Story, with an initial Turabian style footnote which will include the information of which Bible you are using. I don’t expect you to quote each in a real conversation but I want to know that you know where the passages are and can go there to show them when the opportunity arises! 3. Write an 8-10 page paper containing the information above.a. Formatting: The paper should follow Turabian formatting, which contains a cover page including the title of your assignment, your name, class and date in Turabian formatting. The title page is not included in the page count. Papers should be double-spaced, Times New Roman 12 font, with 1 inch margins, only 4 section headings (as outlined above in bold) and page numbers. The four headings in bold type above should be the headings used in your paper.

Communication of the Gospel
Introduction
Communication is one of the tools that efficiently improve relationships and connections,
and operative communication is important in attaining the same. Among the various aspects
through which collaboration effectively takes place between two parties. Mostly, communication
is divided into two parts – verbal and non-verbal communication. Broadly, communication is
divided into two parts – verbal and non-verbal communication. Verbal communication refers to
sharing information or messages between two or more persons who use language elements such
as words, phrases, sentences, and many more. These are fundamentals of verbal communication
for transmission of any messages or information. Some of the key elements of verbal
communication are the Presence of text and sound, Grammatical acceptability of words, phrases,
and sentences, Formation of an acceptable sentence, Application of quality and correct rhythm,
tone, pitch, and volume, Audibility of sentence or presentation, Mixing of emotions with sound
and text, Clarity and conciseness of information. Nonverbal communication deals with nontextual and non-sound features that use various gestures, postures, eye contact, physical contact,
and space. The combination of these terms is called body language. In communication, it means

body language reactions. So, in speaking, what matters most is not just text or sound but also
how it is presented. Besides, the way one sits, how one gets up, the way one walks, and the way

communication. So, in the field of non-verbal communications, some of the points that should be
borne in mind are: Stand erect without bending one’s body, ensure eye contact with the audience,
not to look to the left, right, top and down,

of the presentation, not showing unnecessary gestures and postures, and not scratching or
twitching one’s head, hand, nose or any parts of the body.
Elements of Communication
There are five fundamental elements evident in any communication process.
Consequently, these elements include feedback, channel, message, sender, and receiver. In this
communication process, the message is expressed, sent, or communicated from the sender or the
communicator. The sent or transmitted message, order, or information, is meant to reach or is
aimed at receivers. In this process, the process refers to the subject matter.1 In other words, it
relates to the content of the suggestion, idea, information, order, speech, or letter. The message
transmitted from the sender to the receiver must go through a media, otherwise called a
communication channel. The understanding and the information is passed through this media to
the receiver. Therefore, the communication channel connects the receiver and the sender. Lastly,
feedback is the reaction, reply, or the effect of the information passed to the r...
