Introduction
Different stores deal in different products with the aim of satisfying customer needs. The
efficiency of these stores is however very important in measuring the productivity of the stores
as well as measuring the output. Different stores have different ways of measuring the efficiency
in their operations. All this is aimed at increasing sales and satisfying customer needs.
I visited Japer coffee shop in the wee hours of the morning just before I dropped by for
work. I realized that these were the peak hours since many customers passed by to get coffee to
calm their nerves before reporting for work. I was in the coffee shop for about thirty minutes and
made several observations from my benchmarking.
Measuring the efficiency of the process
I would say that the process in the coffee shop was relatively efficient. There was
however a long unending queues from the entrance of the shop as many customers lined up to
