Introduction
Marijuana is a mixture of preserved, crushed cannabis leaves that is green or dark and comes
from marijuana plant. Marijuana is a psychoactive substance that produces 50% more tar than
tobacco. Smoking the dangerous plant can damage the brain, lungs and male reproductive system
and increase epilepsy and psychotic symptoms. There are plenty of people who use marijuana on
a recreational level at colleges and campuses. The long-term consumption of marijuana may
have detrimental consequences, clearly interfering with learning, on short-term memories, focus,
interest, inspiration and problem resolution (Ducatti,2012). The active ingredient in marijuana
Tetrahydrocannabinol will enhance opioid and other addictive medicinal products. Maybe one of
the most divisive dilemmas of culture nowadays is legalizing marijuana. In recent years, several
individuals have demanded that this substance be decriminalized to use it without any penalties.
Many that advocate legalizing pot believe it doesn't affect anybody, but this is an assumption that
is incorrect and harmful. It impacts not only customers, but culture as well. It will cause
catastrophic consequences on our culture if marihuana were legalized. It is an increasingly
significant problem, since it will avoid a major calamity if people consider the effects of
cannabis usage. The most important environmental problem of our day is the legalization of
marijuana.
History of Marijuana
Marijuana has a long tradition of human use, which is sometimes called cannabis or plant. The
plant has not developed large in many ancient civilizations, but as herbal medicine, perhaps
beginning about 500 BC in Asia. In America, the history of cannabis society stretches back to the
early colonists of textile and fabric developing chambre. Political and Racist influences
throughout the 20th century have contributed to the crime of marijuana in the United States. Its

legal status has shifted in many ways. Hanan was extensively cultivated in colonial America and
on Spanish missions to the southwestern part of the continent because of its quick growing herb,
its simple growth and many applications. In the early 1600s, farmers were forced to cultivate

marijuana. There is some suggestion that the psychoactive qualities of the herb were known to
ancient civilizations. In the 1830s, Sir William Brooke O' Shaughnessy, an Irish doctor who is
studying in India, finds that extracts of cannabis could help relieve abdominal pain and vomiting
in people who have cholera. They have grown certain varieties to generate higher THC amounts
in religious rituals or healing. By the late 1800s, derivatives of hemp had been marketed in
hospitals and physicians' offices in Europe and the US to cure digestive disorders and other
illnesses. THC often communicates with regions of the mind that may decrease nausea and
encourage appetite. The Scythians—a wide community of Iranian nomads in central Asia—are
identified by an ancient Greek scientist called Herodotus, who inhale the smoldering weed seeds
and flowers. As a psychoactive substance that is responsible for marijuana mental alteration.
Hashish was used in the Middle East and parts of Asian until about 800 A.D. (a distilled type of
cannabis smoked with a pipe). Its influence rose in line with Islam's spread in the region. As part
of "War on Drugs," the 1970 Regulated Substances Act, signed by President Richard Nixon,
abolished the Marijuana Tax Act (MTA), classified marijuana as a medication in Schedule I,
with opium, LSD and ecstasy, lacking medicinal usage and strong potential for misuse. The
Quran banned alcohol use and certain other intoxicating substances but did not expressly ban
cannabis. It has been recognized as a 'gateway to the drug' in anti-drug campaigns such as
D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education). In 1972, a National Commission investigation on

Marijuana and Substance Misuse (also known as Shafer Commission) published a study entitled
Marijuana: a Symbol of Confusion which proposed that small quantities of marijuana be
consumed "partially prohibited," with lower penalties for them. But the conclusions of the study
were dismissed by Nixon and the other government leaders. California is the first nation to allow
marijuana for medical purposes by individuals suffering from acute or debilitating disorders
through the Compassionate Care Act in 1996. Cannabis is allowed for limited therapeutic uses in
Washington, D.C., 29 States and the U.S. territories of Guam and Puerto Rico. In June 2019,
online marijuana was approved for commercial usage by 11 states and Washington, D.C. The
first states in 2012 were Colorado and Washington. In Alaska, California, Illinois, Maine,
Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, Vermont and Oregon, adults will even be required to light up
without a doctor's prescription. The changing legal status of marijuana remains subject to
continuing debate in the United States and around the world, however, pursuant to US federal
legislation.
PROS OF NOT LEGALIZING MARIJUANA
Physical health of humans
The most significant pro not legalizing marijuana will be saving physical health of human beings
as consumption of pot induces atrocious health consequences. Such results rely directly on the
number of doses administered, because people using higher marijuana have more issues than
those using less weed. The manner this medicine is administered leads in various cases. If weed
is swallowed, for example, it can induce higher emotions and more devastating effects than when
smoked. Cough and flagman are the first harmful outcomes induced by weed, which bring mild
discomfort to the people impacted. Cannabis is extremely addictive and unhealthy and relies on
the effects of the user. Research indicates that weed produces multiple detrimental effects, such

as loss of concentrate, problem-solving, a poor memory, distracted learning, and concentration.
One of the main issues of dependency on weed is that it "alters slightly metabolic connections
between significant brain regions," which contributes to a reduction in glucose in certain parts of
the brain. It can contribute to cognitive dysmetria and neuropsychological deficits by reducing
the glucose levels of the brain. These difficulties arise as users take this medicine in large doses.
In comparison, new study has found that marijuana patients are more prone to experience lung
cancer and liver disease, which may include fats. In brief, the use of weed could destroy
(Wang,2017).
Reduce in crimes
It may be a catastrophic mistake to legalize weed and trigger a violent change in our society.
Some individuals are in favor of legalizing marijuana not affecting humanity, however they do
not grasp it properly. Not only does the prohibition of this substance affect direct users but it
would also endanger civilization as a whole. Second, the quick access to cannabis will contribute
to a rise in the country's dependents. Non-marijuana patients are the most impacted individuals
and they have a great deal of burden on their heads. Individuals' surroundings are the key
influences. Products and the newspapers, for example, will inspire young people to pursue this
medication (Dragone et al.2018). This disorder is likely to produce a "endogenous" and
"exogenous" effect on customers who are not marijuana patients. 'The endogenous influence
takes place if the action of a person reacts to other individuals' actions' . In groups of friends this
example is popular (especially young people) the majority of the party appears to mimic their
actions while most of a group are consuming pot. So, it is more possible that nonmarijuana
patients try to blend in with this medication.
