The word that I have chosen which represents an abstract concept is “electability”. In an
election year, this is an important word to consider but nobody seems to be able to come to a decision
on what exactly the word means. For the purposes of this paper, I will focus on the word as it pertains
to the presidential election. On the surface, the denotative meaning is a candidate who is eligible to
become elected. For the Office of the President, the qualifications are that the candidate be a natural
born American citizen of at least thirty-five years old. They must also have lived in the country for at
