LEADERSHIP AND ETHICAL DECISION MAKING

1

Leadership and ethical decision making.
1.

An advantage of effective leadership is that it motivates the workers and team players,

therefore, resulting in the success of the organization. Since leaders act by leading the way and
showing the team members on how to accomplish the various tasks, it works as a motivation and
results into a conducive environment where the team members can relate and own the various
functions. Ineffective leadership, on the other hand, leads to the lost morale of the team
members, therefore, resulting in small production and therefore little profits from the
organization.
Effective managers ensure that the company’s objectives are met and that all the workers work
towards accomplishing these aims at the end of the day. This, therefore, provides that the firm or
organization is satisfied at the end of the day. Ineffective management, on the other hand,
discourages the workers since they end up oppressed therefore they opt not to work and go on
strikes. This results in losses in the organizations which reduces its competitiveness in the
market.
Leaders are different in their work from that of managers, in that, leaders work by being an
example to the team members, therefore, they guide their team players on what to do. Ineffective
leaders result in a poorly performing team. On the other hand, managers act as an over watch on
the workers where they allocate duties to the employees and expect results. The ineffective
manager makes the workers be oppressed and overworked without any motivation to work and
be productive.

better leader than the other. It analyses the characteristics that make one a better leader that the
others.
The leadership of an organization determines its success or its failure in the business transactions
and its development. Considering the leadership theories, on the contingency theory, involving a
leader in the environment that best suits them would result in a successful performance of the
