A. Spiritualist movement is a period in the 19th century when the belief in the
existence of the dead's spirits emerged
B. Those who believed in spiritualism believed that they could interact with
the spirits of the dead
C. They tried this through mediums and other physical means such as tableturning, automatic writing, and automatic drawing
II. Question 2
A. The major difference between the two is that while protestant camps were
particularly meant for prayers and religious teachings, the spiritualist
camps included sports and fun.
B. The professional spiritualist included different sporting and entertaining
activities such as dancing and boating that made them so enjoyable than
religious camps

believed that one was closer to God and the spiritual realm by being closer
