My research topic is about how Amazon’s employees perceive the culture of their
company. Therefore, the appropriate research question is: what is the perception of Amazon’s
employees about their company’s culture?
Hypothesis
I conduct this study to ascertain that Amazon’s employees perceive the culture of their
company as strict, unsupportive, and bias. Strict culture is the one that focuses so much on the
goals and objectives of the organization, leaving no room for people to grow emotionally and

socially. Unsupportive culture is one that is not concerned with employee’s personal affairs, such
as the elimination of stress among the employees. Bias culture does not treat employees equally.
It favors the best performing employees and punishes the underperforming ones.
Based on the current research, Amazon’s workplace culture is characterized by strict
rules and goals that must be achieved by every employee (Yu, 2016). Amazon's CEO is the one
who has shaped the current company culture based on his leadership style. He has set rules and
goals that focus on goals and minding less about employees. When hiring new candidates, the
company makes sure that new employees are aware of the company vision. After that, employees
are required to work under strict supervision, and there is no room for errors.
