The assignment has 2 parts: • Part 1: Answer the following questions with well-developed and thoughtful answers o What path did you choose? Part One: Choice of Career Path

Kinesiology is a broad study with a variety of disciplines that mainly focuses on the physical
activity. My career path is a fitness and consultant. A fitness leader and consultant is a person
with the knowledge of fitness and is mainly involved in training sports men on fitness. The
reason for choosing these career path is it involves the theoretical part, the practical part and
professional practice which equips one with the required knowledge (Hoffman, 2009). I also
have interest in fitness as I understand that fitness will help to improve the health of a person. A
healthy person will be productive and improve on the living status.
Qualifications
A high bachelor’s degree in health and fitness is required by many employers offering a
fitness job. In addition, certification as a fitness instructor is mostly a requirement before ones
joins the fitness industry. There are organizations mandated to offer these certifications, such as
the agencies that are accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies. A person
with an accredited certificate will easily secure a job compared to the one who only have a
degree qualification. In America Organizations such as the American Council on Exercise and
the Athletics and Fitness Association of America offer accreditation (Maloney, 2018). For one to
be certified even with a degree certificate, one need to do a written exam, practical exam and
pass in both.
Having a bachelor’s degree will offer one a wide variety of jobs as there is a notion than
degree holders have been exposed to...
