Domestic abuse effects a woman’s mental and physical health. Those who experience abuse are more likely to have reproductive issues and more likely to contract HIV. Globally, many women and girls face the challenge of abuse. The abuse is often
not limited to physical, emotional, and mental abuse from people they know personally or
spouses. Despite significant efforts by organizations and governments to curb this trend, it has
proven to require much more effort to end the violence against women—one in three women
(35%) experiences domestic violence in their lives. Various effects are developed from the
violence as women are either affected mentally, emotionally, or physically. The objective of the
case study is to determine the impact of domestic violence on women.
Women who experience abuse are more likely to have reproductive issues and more
