RUBRIC for MIND MAPpts
The Mind Map integrated, as a minimum, the key message from each of the TED.com videos noted in the pro forma (20), as well as at least 4 more. It persuaded me that you perused the videos assigned and integrated each messages into your psyche in some coherent fashion.
1: Every Ted.com video is noted in the mind map, as well as others of importance…24
The Mind Map, per se, followed generally accepted guidelines for the development of Mind Maps; for example, see http://www.mindtools.com/pages/article/newISS_01.htm. Also, see http://mappio.com/mindmap/lucianop/how-to-think-like-leonardo-da-vinci.
1: A center "bubble" reflects the major theme of the mind map (not merely a "subject").25
2: Major subheadings emanate as lines from the center bubble, and they are labeled.15
3: The next levels of detail are linked as lines, as appropriate.15
4: Color is used to highlight key dimensions.10
5: Icons (clip art, etc.) are used to highlight key ideas.15
6: Citations of the Ted.com video are integrated (for example, by using footnotes).15
The submission includes not only a mind map, per se, but also documentation giving insight into the rationale underpinning the map. This explanation is limited to 2500 words. It may include the citations for the TED.com videos here (linking them to the footnotes in the map). Citations do not count against the word limit. The documentation integrates the key concepts covered during semester: technology life cycle; disruptive technology; unintended consequences; modes of IP protection; stage-gate process; evolution of product value; technology acceptance model...
1: Ideas about technological discontinuity...
Distinguishes between disruptive and sustaining technologies5
Classifies innovation type from an enterprise perspective: architectural, incremental, modular or radical 5

Describes vicious and virtuous feedback loops5
Identifies the unintended consequences of using a given emerging technology5
2: Ideas about eras of ferment...
Identifies different modes of intellectual property protection5
Discusses advisability of using provisional patent applications5
Describes ideal R&D portfolio for technology-based enterprise5
Describes the stage-gate process for new product development (NPD) as it relates to an emerging technology5
Describes impact of organizational blueprint on success5
Describes impact of org dna on success5
3: Ideas about dominant design...
Identifies the key components of a dominant design5
Describes the consequences to the customer ecosystem as dominant design begins to reign5
Identifies the evolution of the value discipline over the product life cycle5
Describes the ideal R&D portfolio for an enterprise based on technology5
Distinguishes among the various models used to describe technology acceptance5
Illustrates the principles of technology diffusion as they apply to emerging technologies5
Any software package was used to develop the Mind Map; or NOT. For example, a hand drawing was photographed, with the resulting jpeg (or whatever) submitted. 0
The filename for the posting followed a format that eased organizing the submission: e.g. Lastname_firstname_mindmap_motonline_fall_2020.pptx or …docx or …pdf.5

I will attach an example of the assignment. You may turn in a separate paper to accompany the mind map. Most folks who use free software find it difficult to weave the results from the software into a pdf or pptx. Some folks integrate everything into a pdf. Some folks turn in only the mind map without any rationale because their semester goal has been met already via other avenues. Whatever type of submission is posted will be evaluated by the rubric.

If you choose to use some free software, check out this example from a grad student in a different class...
