for your company
Use the elements from all previous documents, solutions, and readings to produce this
report.
This report should include your recommendations for moving to the AWS cloud.
Obtain a quote (online) from Dell for costs to purchase new equipment that matches what they
are using at the current hosting center.
Include a 24 port GB switch, 20 15-ft CAT6 Ethernet cables, and a Dell SonicWall router.
This should also include warranty and Operating system software plus your Microsoft SQL
Exchange license.

Migration to the AWS Cloud
SUMMARY
Understanding cloud migration. Cloud has become the trend for most companies nowadays and have
realized the benefits of the cloud. AWS offers innovative tools and services to the market that helps
companies understand how the platform works where migration experience is easier and faster.
INTRODUCTION
Why AWS? AWS simplifies the acceleration of migration with methodology. The workload of moving such
as storage, databases, virtual servers, websites, applications, or the entire data centers will achieve an 80%
faster cloud adoption and high scalability apart from the other services. Which means, a company can use
more resources and pay for the amount that they actually use.
Here are seven things every website owner should know about AWS migration:
1.) Having a cloud system could benefit to expand the business in global market 24/7. By choosing AWS,
they help you scale up to more resources. No upfront costs, no hidden charges!
2.) The cloud system reduce your costs. At AWS, they offer affordable price to cater the supply and
demand.
3.) Safe and secure system. AWS main pillars is data security. They guarantee the protection of the system.
4.) Data ownership will remain the same.
5.) Authorized company users can only access the data. AWS cloud will only grant access for individuals that
has a set permissions.
6.) Users need some AWS skills. AWS has references to help an individual learn its resources.
7.) Increased productivity. AWS will take care about the daily tasks that an internal infrastructure would
require.

Comparison and financial assessment
Taking into consideration, measuring a cloud system infrastructure needs careful analysis to compare the
cost, benefits and other necessary data to gather between the two alternatives. The analysis below shows
the quote of the competitive value of these features:
Dell Technologies quoted a blog article wherein, the University of San Diego (USD), is continuing to use Dell
EMC-supported private cloud infrastructure. They see it less expensive than AWS. Here are some details:
(USD) spent about $225,000 on the first Vblock System in a year. Dividing by 12 months, that works out to
$18,750/month, or $26/hour. A 90-day, 1-year, 2-year, 3-year, 4-year or 5-year depending on the Dellbranded product purchased. No license is required for all versions of EMC.
However, the Economics of the AWS cloud is providing a tool in order to assess the cloud-based
infrastructure financial calculation using calculator.aws. This will estimate the costs a consumer may need
to know. For example:
25 GB x 0.10 USD = 2.50 USD (Database Storage Cost)
