Different types of equipment are required in a facility that caters to the needs of the
cancer patients. These equipments include scanners, medical equipment and other rooms that
might facilitate the treatment process of the patients. When coming up with the different
equipment required in the facility, I evaluated the different needs of the patients. Patients require
a good environment which will be achieved through the provision of sanitations and free space
including their personal rooms (Halbwachs, 2000). In short, the equipment was based on the
needs of the patients, the medical staff and the families of the patients. The lobby created will
serve as a resting place for the families while the personal rooms will see to the privacy of the
patients.
The regulatory additions include parking space for wheelchairs and the provision of space
which caters for the needs of the people living with disabilities. The stairs and the size of the
corridors are in line with the provisions set out in the American Disabilities Act which was
