QUESTION 1

"What do you think are the three most importance concepts covered in this
course? Explain WHY, of course ;-) "

1. A. A real understanding of basic Genetics is vital to have in this day and
age, as there are important issues like GMOs that affect us and the public
health. The health risks of Unsafe and improperly tested GMOs are
antibiotic resistance, immune problems and even infertility.
B. We need to understand Ecology and the interactions and influences that
organisms have on one another. This is the foundation for creating a
sustainable civilization that does not destroy its own home. We humans feel
superior to other beings on the planet, and we need to be reminded that we

are part of an ecosystem and were not the center of the universe.
C. We need to know how Evolution really works because a lot of people
think it is just a linear process lead only by natural selection, only a game of
the survival of the fittest. But this is far from the truth and it evolution is far
more complicated than that. Evolution explains why all of biology is the way
it is.

our minds? Although neuroscientists have been researching on this for years,
the results always go beyond the realm of any scientific explanation. It is now in
the hands and minds of philosophers and religion to entangle this mystery, as
science cannot rely on any data that their methods can’t solve. One can say that
normal consciousness is one drop in an ocean of intelligence.
