in 2000 a camp had 450 campers. 5 translated it has 750 . Write a linear equation that represents number of campers that attend camp.     I am so lost.   Help

Not sure about the question. Do you mean 5 years later the camp has 750 campers?  If so, then to find the slope you take the difference of the number of campers divided by the number of years:

(750-450)/5 = 300/5 = 60

The year 2000 is year 0, so the y-intercept is 450

The equation of a line in slope-intercept form is y = mx + b,  where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept

So the equation in this case is  y = 60x + 450
