Introduction
Technology integration in modern-day societal interactions has significantly influenced
how people think, learn, and communicate. Technology is a core determinant of people's daily
interactions. However, it has both negative and positive on both users and society at large are;
technological adaptation is getting widespread, evidenced by the use of the internet and mobile
phones. Technology has helped the community in a significant way, especially in the education
sector. It has made learning easier by making the learning processes more collaborative and
interactive.
Additionally, it has facilitated easy access to learning resources. Despite positively
impacting education systems, technology has contributed to toxic social interactions among its
users on various online platforms like Twitter and Facebook. According to Espelage et al.
(2018), virtual communication has affected many people based on online communication and
one-on-one interactions. For instance, it has affected people's relations, distracted students in the
schoolwork. Majorly online bullying has been an outcome. Various reasons are leading to the
online bullying habit. For instance, the social cognitive theory of personality helps to explain the
