search, responding to an advertisement, and other activities the
customers carry out on their mobile phones, and the frequency and time
these activities are carried out (Kudyba Stephan, 2014).
• In this case study, the activity data were collected from the destination
websites the customers interacted, the time they carried out such
activities as recorded in network packets, and the frequency with which
they carried out such activities (Marr, 2016). They were used to
determine the types of activities the customer takes interest in or
participates in and to target advertisements that correlate with such
activities.
• Though the exact content of the network traffic for these activities was
not collected as it was encrypted, the destination, time, the frequency of
