  • Design  a personal plan to use social media to benefit the student both  personally and professionally as well as minimize online mistakes and  their impact.

Instructions

Social  media use is critical to a dynamic and competitive brand, whether that  brand is something you sell, a group home, a non-profit organization, or  your self-image. This project will get you thinking about effective  ways to shape your social media tools to make the most of your brand, to  keep consumers talking and thinking about your brand, and to get  interaction from those you seek to sell to or to help. You will take a  look at what you post to social media, possible responses or reactions  you will receive, as well as use social media trends and society  controls to keep your brand meeting your goals.

Your  final project should include a plan for the following: how you will  utilize a minimum of four social media sites; what your target audience  will be; your use of contacts, outreach, and advertising best practices;  your posting do's and don'ts; and explanations of your choices using  the sources from the course and others you find.

If  you have a real business, brand, or site to work on, you can start by  putting the site profiles into the four social media sites you have  chosen (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, etc.). Screenshots will work for these  that you have really made. If you don't really have a business or brand,  you do not need to create faux profiles. However, you should write the  information you would include in your profile for each one.

In summary, your plan should contain:

  • An introduction to your brand or company
  • Your social media goals and general goals for the brand
  • An  analysis of the market comparables — similar  businesses/nonprofits/brands, including what has been successful and  what hasn't worked for at least 3 good comparable brands
  • Discussion  of societal norms for those comparables. What seem to be the "rules"  they follow? Is there open or tacit regulation you've noticed? Include  how you can expand your influence globally by overcoming potential  language and culture barriers
  • An analysis of advertising and its necessity along with the type of advertising you would do and why
  • An  outline of the audience you intend to reach and how to reach them. Be  sure to take into account the factors that are in play when attempting  to reach an audience that includes a wide range of ages (consider  generational differences)
  • A plan for how to use your contacts and add new ones when publicizing and staying connected
  • A plan for each of four social media sites, including profile information and posting ideas
  • Analysis of any of the theories you would use
  • A conclusion

Your  project lengths will depend on how much depth you put into your  analysis of each section, but to give you a general idea, several  paragraphs for most of the bullet points is a good length, and should  result in a total of around 10 pages.

Social Media Plan
Event organizing companies rely on social media to advertise their business activities and
attract more consumers. The brand that will be analyzed in this article is a wedding planning
company that offers all services that pertain to a wedding—for example, flower decorations,
catering, music, among others. The Emerald Fold Wedding Planners (EFWP) is the company's
name that all people who plan on weddings find the experience less overwhelming and have an
option where services are available with ease. Different packages and discounts are offered
depending on the number of required services, and other consumers who would prefer a particular
service can also access it. Social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and YouTube will
significantly assist in marketing the brand and increasing brand awareness.
Social Media Goals
Social media has fueled the human impulse to communicate with advanced technology.
Through social media platforms, online communities are created where information gets shared
through ideas, personal, or business messages. Social media has changed over time from direct
data exchange to a more virtual gathering place where different products get exchanged (Tuten,
2020). There are several social media goals for the EFWP that will help maximize the returns for
the company. However, among the many, three of them will are utilized: YouTube, Facebook, and
Instagram. The main goal that EFWP aims to achieve through social media includes increasing
brand awareness as social media is one among the many platforms that an average person spends
more time one. Therefore, to better grab the consumer’s attention, three social media platforms
will be used for marketing. Furthermore, wedding planners will have a quantitative understanding
of their brands and reach the online world.

3
The second goal is to increase web traffic to the company website since new site users can
become potential consumers. Measuring the traffic on the website gives information on how far
the brand is moving. Third, the social media platform will be used to turn the audience into paying
consumers, as increased sign-ups can predict increasing sales increasing. Fourth, to ensure that all
available customers are satisfied with the services provided online. When consumers are satisfied,
their positive feedback will attract more people to acquire services from the brand. In addition, the
EFWP also have general goals for the brand. This includes ensuring that all the customers have
access to all services associated with planning a wedding. The consumers will also have access to
quality and up-to-date services and the availability of top-notch technology. Therefore, the
Emerald Fold Wedding Planners will utilize the social media platform to increase the consumer
base.
Social media began on desktops and laptops and has evolved to include tablets and mobile
phones which have an expandable cellular service. With smartphones' availability, most people
worldwide have access to social media sites now and hence are becoming the best marketing
strategy (Appel et al., 2020). Additionally, businesses can offer consumers simpler interactions
and new ways of buying services and goods with new social media practices. Companies were
able to expand their bases into hundreds of millions and access untapped resources through
visually-oriented topics. Measuring tools are also available that enable companies or firms to
collate and analyze consumer demographics and spending habits. The firms are then able to use
this data in planning towards increasing their sales. For example, if more consumers need access
to wedding planners from a specific country, the area is a potential site for setting up the business.
These statistics are easily accessed with the necessary platforms which will improve the
performance of the company.

Market Analysis
There are several similar businesses in the event planning sector for weddings. Some of
them do not offer complete wedding services. For example, the Colin Cowie firm offers wedding
services alongside private and corporate events. They also offer guest list management, venue
sourcing, and event design. The company has flourished since it is owned by a renowned author
and designer best known for...
