Description
I am currently a Case Manager/Discharge Planner in an Acute Care Hospital. Please take into consideration my current position to work on this assignment.
Data Spreadsheet and Narrative Paper
Using data and presenting that data are essential skills for all nurse executives to develop.
For this Assignment, you will create a proposal to increase informatics use in a practice setting. You will appraise the current use of outcome data from an example at AHRQ, IHI, CMS, or WHO (refer to the McGonigle and Mastrian textbook), a specialty organization of your choice, or an example from your practice setting or organization. Then define a gap in practice that is supported by the existing data.
Next, determine how an increased use of nursing informatics could strengthen outcome development and sustainability of positive healthcare delivery trends. Think about the current use of evidence-based practice in your present or a prior organization or practice setting and where the use of data has shown that care delivery could be improved, such as door-to-balloon time placement for STEMI patients, antibiotic delivery, wait times in the emergency department, and so on.
Instructions:
- The spreadsheet should contain 10 patients with HIPAA-compliant identifiers, 2 sets of data capture with 4 different data capture intervals/timeframes, and the use of two Excel formulas (e.g., percentages, addition, means, averages; if you want to be more detailed, this is also acceptable).
- The paper should describe what you have completed in the spreadsheet using 3–4 pages, not including the title and reference pages.
- Use APA formatting with a title page, running head, title on the first page of text, introductory paragraph, level 1 appropriate headings, conclusion, double-spaced lines, and scholarly sources as parenthetical citations and a reference list. You may use graphs or figures to present data and outcomes of safe practice; if they are longer than half a page, place them as appendices at the end of the paper.

Introduction
Patient information is very radical in ensuring that proper medication is administered as
required. The data is critical in determining the future events of the Medicare programs in
different states and how medical providers can improve it. The information is primarily relied on
by the medical practitioners and healthcare providers to know how effective is their medical
programs and how the community can benefit from the agenda. The Health Insurance Portability
and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996 in the United States directed all the medical agencies
to come up with regulations and guidelines on how the patient information can be protected and
only to be available to the agencies and not in public (Rouse, 2017). The report herein will be
disclosing the various categories of data and, consequently, their appraisal on how they are faring
depending on the different categories of outcome data from the Agency of Healthcare Research
and Quality (AHRQ). Similarly, the report herein will be taking an immediate insight into how
the patients can access care in different states...
