As the primary registered nurse investigator analyzing patient data to discover a trend and treatment options, you are tasked with collecting and analyzing real patient data daily. This epidemic has impacted all levels of the community including government officials, singers, actors, etc. While reviewing data, you stumble across a familiar name, which happens to be the name of one of your favorite actors, Chris Imprivata. Upon determining this, you happen to take a photo of the data and post about the finding on social media.

Technology is rapidly transforming the health sector from having robotic devices that help
perform surgeries to delivering drugs in the bloodstream (Wetter, 2016). Collection of data from
patients and record-keeping in the health sectors has also gotten eased by technology. However,
technology has got its drawbacks in health care. With the advancement in technology, human
value should be placed first in research and patient diagnosis. Health care informatics, just like
other fields, entails issues of appropriate and inappropriate behaviors and actions that are right
and wrong. Nurses and the health sector stakeholders play an essential role in promoting privacy
and exploring the challenges of their research and practices in the health sector. In nursing,
medicine, and human subject research, ethical questions have continued to emerge (Wetter,
2016). Most people believe that promoting confidence in the electronically preserved
information about the patient is the primary source of ethics that should be paid attention to.
Privacy and confidentiality are fundamental areas of concern in ethics; however, they are other
tools to be emphasized, like an appropriate use of the information collected from research. The
purpose of this assignment is to investigate the legal and ethical issues to put in mind when
