Introduction
Most businesses around my surroundings have mostly focused on financial performance
rather than focusing on the stakeholders, employees, and community at larger. However, this
should not be the case. Businesses should aim at improving the lives of their stakeholders,
employees, and society. Before reading the book "Reimagining Capitalism" by Dr. Rebecca
Henderson, I thought it was just another book I usually read for any assignment since I did not
comprehend the appeal. However, after reading it, it opened my eyes, and I understood much.
This reflection paper examines the book "Reimagining Capitalism" by Dr. Rebecca Henderson
while still reflecting on my personal experiences.
Henderson (2016) argues that capitalism is the ability of private institutional systems and
industries to provide financial performance through trade and offer social purpose by positively
