sq.rt (3x) + 1 = sq.rt. (5x =1 )

Square both sides, we get

3x + 1 + 2 sq.rt (3x)  =. 5x + 1

Subtract 1 from both sides

3x + 2 sq.rt (3x) = 5x

Subtract 3x from both sides

2 sq.rt (3x) = 2x

Divide both sides by 2

sq.rt (3x) = x

Square both sides

3x = x^2

Divide both sides by x

3 = x

Answer x= 3
