You should be able to figure that one out. First they were kidnapped in Africa by traders and packed onto slave ships. Only about 1/3 survived the journey. Then they were sold to people who made them work hard and live in poor conditions. If they didn't do well they could be resold or beaten or even killed. Families were broken up -- men, women and children could be sold separately like you'd sell an animal. Think about being owned and considered subhuman.
They Made Children Begin Working In Factory's At Young Ages, And They Also Made Women Work In The Factories. It Wasn't Slavery Because They Weren't Doing All Of This Work For Free, They Received Some Type Of Benefits Even Though It Wasn't Much.
