Apple computers is one of the most known brands in the world. The company have
positioned itself as a market leader and also as a trend setter in the industry where other
companies follow. The company’s success can be attributed to the strategies that the company
employs in running its day to day activities. On this note there are various strategies which
companies can use for them to gain competitive advantage. These strategies include the pricing
strategies, promotion strategies and defensive strategies. Apple computer has embraced all these
strategies and capitalized on them such that they are capable of making profits even in times
where the industry is not performing very well.
To begin with, manufacturers can use the pricing strategies for competitive advantage.
Most customers want their products at affordable prices. Others focus on quality if product but
perceived quality is affected by the price of the gadgets. For a company to be competitive, they
